(It seems, in most of the Yamato movies, like the first 1/3 of the time is spent with everyone mourning lost comrades and the last 1/3 of the time is spent endlessly watching someone die in a noble sacrifice.) I used the phrases 'yet another evil enemy' and 'melodrama abounds' to describe the fifth movie. I determined that Space Battleship Yamato is the more correct name. 'Star Blazers' is only a very small and heavily-edited subset of the Space Cruiser Yamato anime. I'm going to move this article to 'Space Cruiser Yamato', since that's the name I've heard more often. I'm going to edit this article to offer a more inclusive picture of the original Japanese series, which is variously named either 'Space Cruiser Yamato' or 'Space Battleship Yamato'.
